How You Can Make an Impact

Volunteering with Eatontown EMS is great way to support the local community or even prepare for a career in the medical field. We are looking for people from a wide age range and backgrounds. If you ever thought about becoming an EMT, or just helping in the community, now is your chance to make it happen.

Interested in serving your community?

There are many opportunities to volunteer with Eatontown EMS. If you are interested, send us an email or fill out the below form and we will schedule a meeting with our applicant coordinator, where you can see first hand what we do. The only training required before applying is a valid CPR card. If you do not have one, we will help you get it.

Regular Membership

Regular Members are vital to the overall operations of the department. These members respond to 9-1-1 emergencies, at all hours of the day and night, including holidays and weekends. Our community depends on us to respond to their calls for help when they need us the most. This is unlike any other volunteer organization; we expect our members to go above and beyond the minimum requirements. We have a zero fail mission, and if we do not provide the best level of emergency medical care, it could cost someone his or her life. We provide free uniforms, medical training, and advancement opportunities. Those who volunteer with us answer a true calling for public service, and sacrifice so much time and energy serving our community.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be on call a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per month on a scheduled shift.

  • Attend two (2) training hours per month.

  • Attend at least 50% of business meetings per year on the second Tuesday of each month.

Support Membership

Support Members provide administrative support and specialized skills to the department. These members assist with training programs, human resources, logistics, and public affairs. This allows our Regular Members to respond to 9-1-1 emergencies, knowing that they are supported administratively. Support Members may also serve on small teams that promote community health, injury prevention, and fundraising.
