CADET ACADEMY
Due to the current government regulations and social distancing requirements the 2020 Cadet Academy dates are TBD.
We are hopeful that can run the Academy this summer but must prioritize the health and safety of the Cadets, our Members, and of course the community as a whole.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 10th
ORIENTATION: July 18th (11a-12p)
The EMS Cadet Academy is a 10-day summer program designed to teach teenagers ages 15 to 17 about pre-hospital medical care. Through hands-on training and exposure to real emergencies, this is a great opportunity for community service hours, college resumes, and those interested in healthcare careers. Topics which participants will learn include:
- Patient moving & lifting
- Leadership, communication & team building
- CPR, vital signs & oxygen administration
- Incident command & MCI management
- Splinting & bandaging
- Opiate overdose & maintaining an airway
- Bleeding control & trauma assessment
- Patients with special needs
- OB-GYN & childbirth
